Movement & wellness routine

You already ride three times weekly and walk an hour on Tuesdays and Saturdays. We don't need to reinvent your routine — we make it more engaging and sustainable when outdoor walking becomes difficult, and build on your daily meditation and church attendance.

Peloton workouts for the colder months

Monday

Feel-good ride

20–30 min

Choose a beginner-friendly or low-impact ride with music you enjoy. Focus on consistency rather than speed or resistance.

Wednesday

Scenic or themed ride

20–30 min

Pick a scenic ride, favorite-artist class, or themed playlist. Make it something you look forward to after a busy day.

Friday

Choose-your-challenge ride

20–30 min

Try beginner intervals or low-impact endurance. Choose the music and difficulty, and increase intensity only as comfortable.

Make indoor exercise fun

  • Create a personal Mayor's Power Playlist with five to ten favorite songs.
  • Try a weekly artist series or themed ride.
  • Use a leaderboard or streak goal for personal motivation, not comparison.
  • Add two short strength sessions weekly, if appropriate for your fitness level, to complement cycling.
  • Keep Tuesday and Saturday walks when weather and safety permit. On poor-weather days, substitute a 20–30 minute indoor walk or comfortable low-impact ride.

Your schedule should remain flexible. If a meeting disrupts a planned workout, a shorter session is still a useful way to maintain the habit.
